In keeping with its billing as one of Hyderabad's most sought-after Tollywood FM stations, Radio Mirchi has consistently brought Tollywood's biggest stars to interact live with its listeners. Catch Tollywood's Stylish Star Allu Arjun live on Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM today afternoon, with RJ Ghajini.

On the occasion of the release of Allu Arjun's blockbuster "Badrinath", Mirchi had done an exclusive on air and website contest for its listeners to select a lucky few who could meet Allu Arjun at their studio. The innovative contest, titled "Meelo Badrinath-Mirchi Lo Badrinath", asked listeners to rewrite the title song track of "Badrinath" — 'Kannu moosthe Badrinath, kannu theristhe Badrinath' — changing all words except the word 'Badrinath' in every line.

The response to the contest has been overwhelming so far, reiterating the ever increasing popularity of both the star, Allu Arjun, and the station, Radio Mirchi.

In addition to meeting the lucky winners of the contest, Allu Arjun will interact live with Mirchi listeners between 4 pm and 5 pm, and talk about his experiences in filming the movie, the special effects, the path-breaking actions scenes, and of course the superhit songs and dances. Plus, a very Mirchi style interview of the Stylish Star by movie buff RJ Ghajini that will make it memorable to all fans and listeners alike.

"Badrinath", a big-budget flick in Tollywood, is one of the industry's most ambitious ventures ever. The story deals with the emotional struggle of a warrior guarding the famous Badrinath temple in the Himalayas, who is torn between the love of a girl and the trust and zeal of his teacher. Directed by V V Vinayak, the film's charbusting music has been composed by maestro MM Keeravani.

Badrinath censor postponed to Monday

Earlier today, we had reported that the much awaited film, Badrinath was going to be censored today. However, the latest news is that the censor has been postponed to Monday. The censor process began at 2 PM and for a while everything seemed to be going fine. But after censoring till the 10th reel, the censor officer spotted that there was a minor typing error in the 11th reel. Sources say that, this was a very minor mismatch and there was no necessity for the censor officer to react in such a drastic manner. Despite the issue being not so severe, the censor officer rejected all requests and in turn postponed the whole censor activity till Monday, July 6.

Badrinath features Allu Arjun, Tamannaah and Prakash Raj in lead roles. Allu Aravind had produced the film on Geetha Arts banner. M M Keeravani has composed the music. The film is expected to hit the screens on June 10.

Note: Given the fact that Badrinath is one of the eagerly awaited films of the year, it's going to release in hundreds of screens. With this delay in censor, the producers have been forced to undergo some tense moments just before the big day. Industry bigwigs say that this move by the censor board was totally uncalled for and of late, the censor board has been at loggerheads with the film industry. In turn, they also expect the Government to intervene and take some action against some of the members of the censor board.

STORY :Badrinath is not a socio-fantasy movie or a completely action thriller flick it is a love story of a common guy like everyone who is born to win like a warrior.This story mainly runs on the backdrop of Badrinath temple . Chinni Krishna did a good job but the story lacks in novelity.Badrinath story forms a major part of the film but it lacks sense as it is a complete commercial cinema.Comedy came out very well in few scenes.

ACTORS PERFORMANCE :
Allu Arjun should be declared as the HE-MAN of the south film industry.He did his best as a dancer and in action sequences but lacks in his dialouge delivery.Performance wise this will be the best in his career.Tammanah as usual did a good job surprisingly in Vinayak's a heroine will have some role to play.Mass people and students will like her character in the film.Prakash Raj as usual is a good talented actor given his best in the flick.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS :
Art and cinematography are excellent which will give a good treat to the audience.Editing is good and music is just average but after the release audio may become a good hit.Dialogues are good in some parts with few powerful dialgues .Screenplay is intersting and the Vinayak's direction is clever.He did so much of hardwork for this flick but forgot to insert some logics in the story of Chinni Krishna.Stunts are excellent.

CONCLUSION :
Badrinath is not an experimental flick its an out and out mass masala entertainer with loads of action,gud comedy,excellent performances and wonderful cinematography.Allu Arjun will be the HE-MAN of the south cinema.

FINAL VERDICT :
Surely a hit but may not be a block buster.

V V Vinayak teams up with LA based colorist

V V Vinayak's upcoming film Badrinath is going to be epic in terms of the visual splendour. And to make sure that the film looks great on screen, the director has teamed up with Loren White, a Los Angeles based colorist for color grading the film. Loren White has worked on several short films, documentaries and feature films like Little Rock, White Knight,Ay Lav Yu, Road to Nowhere among many other films. He has been working on Badrinath for the past few days in Chennai. He shared some interesting information about the sort of work he's on doing on his twitter page stating, "Most of the wides in Badrinath are 35mm HDR composites. Crazy latitude." Your guess is good as ours about what exactly he's talking about!
Allu Arjun, Tamannaah play lead roles in this action drama which also has Prakash Raj, Kelly Dorjee in vital roles. Allu Aravind produced the film on Geetha Arts banner and the film is being touted as one of the most expensive films ever made in Telugu. The film is currently in post production stage and the director of the film, V V Vinayak is leaving no stone unturned to stick to the schedule. Our sources say that the film is expected to go to censor on June 3. This would give it ample time to roll the prints out systematically and also make minor changes if there’s a need.

Allu Aravind had produced the film on Geetha Arts banner. The film is touted to be one of the most expensive films ever made in Telugu cinema. Allu Arjun plays an Indian Samurai in this action drama which has a temple backdrop. Recently, the film unit had gone to Italy to shoot couple of songs. M M Keeravani had composed the music.
