Ileana sacrifices for Allu Arjun
Ileana took Rs 1.5 Crores for director Shankar’s movie – remake of 3 Idiots and she was also offered Rs 2 Crores for Allu Arjun - Trivikram movie. But post the debacle of Shakti and Nenu Rakshasi in a row, Ileana’s popularity hit the bottom. So, no producer and director is coming forward to sign her in Telugu. Ileana soon realized that if she loses the movie opposite Allu Arjun, one of the hottest young stars in Telugu film industry, she will have to repent for a long time, hence the Goan beauty agreed to reduce her remuneration to Rs 1 Crores.
Although Ileana is getting good offers from Bollywood and Tamil cinema, offers have dried up in Telugu.
The film will go to the sets next month once Allu Arjun is back from his personal tour. Trivikram is ready with the script and Danaiah is producing the film.
Badrinath will be an industry hit
Writer Chinni Krishna arranged a press meet today to talk about 10 June release Badrinath. Here are the excerpts The plot of Badrinath was never touched any cinema in the past. The names of my son and daughter are Badrinath and Alakananda respectively and i titled them for hero and heroine in this movie. Badrinath is a contemporary film with 22 sets. It also has the backdrop of the purity of Himalayas. Badrinath is a love story with a vast temple backdrop. There are neither historical not fantasy elements. Producer Allu Arvind spent a lot of money on this movie. He spent 25 lacs for script writing. I penned this story in 2005. When we narrated the story to Badrinath he loved it immense and he took two months to find out a way to translate the story onto the celluloid. All my films have devotional element in them. Narasimha (Padayappa), Narasimha Naidu (Lakshmi Narasimha), Indra (Kaasi), Gangotri (Ganga) and Badrinath (Badrinath). I think it adds value to the script. I has seen Badrinath 3 times. It is not an ordinary film. There has been four industry hits since I came to the Telugu film industry a decade back. They were Narasimha Naidu, Indra, Pokiri and Magadheera. Badrinath is going to be the fifth industry hit. Allu Arjun played a role of multi-dimensions.

How Bunny has overtaken Tarak?
Trade pundits declared that ‘badrinath’ is scoring high at BO in spite of public talk. The one big question is why ‘Shakti’ which opened to a similar bad talk didn’t prove the same? When Junior NTR is more popular in Tollywood with sensational records behind him than Bunny, why didn’t ‘Shakti’ rose to the occasion?
While Allu Arjun’s top most grosser was ‘Desamuduru’ with a near figure of Rs.24 Crores, it was Tarak way a head in revenues and mass Fan following. Yet, ‘Shakti’ which is released almost two months ago didn’t cross Rs.24 Crore mark (as per inner reports) while ‘badrinath’ will go far behind this number in second week itself, if projections of Allu Aravind are to be believed? What is the mantra behind such success of ‘badrinath’ and failure of ‘Shakti’?
Well, many agree that Geetha Arts is capable of doing any wonders in present day cinema and ‘badrinath’ collections proved it once again. If these figures are applicable for any of the Mega movies that will be released to a positive talk in near future, Geetha Arts will create wonders that will be unbreakable.
Allu Arjun is the next MEGASTAR
Stylish Star Allu Arjun may not have made it to the top four in Tollywood, but he is doing it with style in Mollywood. We all know that Allu Arjun has a special craze among Mallus. With 'Badrinath' he proved that he is one of the biggest stars in Malayalam cinema. 'Badrinath' collected a share of 67 lakh rupees in just three days in Kerala.
Only megastars of Malyalam cinema, Mammootty and Mohanlal had managed to collect as much. Allu Arjun has done the same with a dubbed film. Imagine what would be the impact if he does a straight Malayalam film? Though two other straight Malayalam films along with 'Badrinath', they have been washed out without a trace in Badrinath's tsunami. Most importantly, the combined collections of both these films in first three days isn't even half of Allu Arjun's Badrinath.
Trade pundits from Kerala say that no one would dare to release their film along with Allu Arjun's next film by looking at the current trend. Although 'Badrinath' is not carrying positive talk in Kerala too, it would end up as a profitable project to Mallu buyers who have bought the film for 1.1 crore rupees. They would make a profit of 25 lakhs with Badrinath, say trade analysts. And remember, this film is running with a bad talk. The profits would have multiplied by four if it got a better talk. Great going Allu Arjun, you’re the next Megastar of Mallu-land.
Allu Arjun joins big league with Badrinath!
Sky high expectations have been shattered by a weak script, but Badrinath movie seems like it has hit few targets right on the bull’s eye. One of the major targets of making this movie on such a huge scale is to increase Allu Arjun’s star power at the box office. Prior to this Bunny had almost ten films to his credit but was never considered as one of the top stars.
Therefore, Allu Arjun’s father Allu Aravind stepped into the scene with a high budget film Badrinath to prove that his son can pull off wonderful collections given a right film. On this regard, Badrinath did more that expected as this film is the best opener in 2011 till date.
Even the likes of NTR Jr. (Shakti) and Pawan Kalyan (Theen Maar) didn’t register these collections in the first weekend. Thus, Allu Arjun proved to be a crowd puller if he was given a right movie. However, it will be a Herculean task on the young star to pull it off from here as the film is carrying very poor talk from all the circuits.

Ashwini Dutt to buy Badrinath in some areas?
The losses incurred to distributors of Jr NTR's 'Shakti' are so strong that they are unable to recover for next ten years. Like a cold cream in hot summer, producer Ashwini Dutt has come up with an interesting 'recovery' gift for them.
Stylish star Allu Arjun is all set to come up with 'Badrinath' very shortly. The striking hot pictures of Bunny and milky beauty Tamanna have created a fever already. With big names like director VV Vinayak, music director Keeravani and finally ace producer Allu Aravind associating with it, the film is raising the expectations. Now, the twist is, in most of the areas the film got sold out leaving a table profit for producer Allu Aravind. In some parts it is bought by Aravind's good friend Ashwini Dutt, which is in turn given to 'Shakti' distributors to recover previous loss. Insiders are saying that 'Badrinath' is a sure shot hit and will be a 'mega gift' to those weeping distributors.
