Promising director Krish's Allu Arjun-Manoj-Anushka starrer Vedam is all set to be remade in Tamil as Vaanam. R.B. Chowdary of Supergood Movies bought the Tamil remake rights. Simbu, acting alongside Bharath, will don the role of Cable Raju (originally played by Allu Arjun) in the Tamil version. Earlier there were reports that Anushka will reprise her role from the original, but now it is learnt that the lady will do a sizzling item number with Simbu in the film.
Meanwhile the latest buzz is that Sneha Ullal of Simha fame will play the role of a prostitute (originally played by Anushka) in the film. Simbu and Sneha Ullal are expected to start shooting their portions on July 24, 2010.
